Bure Valley Models
The Bure Valley Models store is a part of the Bure Valley Railway in Norfolk.
Travelling through attractive Norfolk scenery, the Bure Valley railway itself is a lovely nine mile long narrow gauge 15 inch gauge steam railway running from the old market town of Aylsham through to Wroxham, the self styled capital of the Norfolk Broads, and centre of some of the most popular boating holidays in the UK.
The Bure Valley Railway prides itself of being run on a not for profit operation and the revenue generated by it’s highly recommended model shop helps to support the future of and continued operation of what is a very attractive steam railway line.
The railway have been offering model railways, modelling accessories and similar for sale for over 12 years now. The Bure Valley Models business started because Andrew, who was the General Manager as well as being a keen modeller too, wanted to be able to buy models and model railways at discounted prices locally in Norfolk, something the county as a whole lacks with very few model shops.
Many of the visitors to the railway itself are not from Norfolk and now also avail of the online shop and this gave rise to our website which created an important business stream to keep staff and the facilities busy and earning when the railway itself had been traditionally quiet.
From initially basic beginnings the business has now expanded significantly through the Aylsham station building. The store itself carries a huge range of N Gauge from Dapol and Graham Farish. Also it has as significant stocks from all the major manufacturers in OO gauge too. Asides from just straight forward ‘model trains’ the store also carries a full range of accessories from the likes of Peco & Humbrol

The shop is on Aylsham Station at the end of the Bure Valley Railway. It is open 7 days a week usually from 09:00 until 17:00 for personal callers.
Adjacent to the shop is the station café, open daily from 09:00 to 16:30. This means that you can treat the family to a tea or coffee and cake. Whilst treating yourself to all the latest models of course!
Delivery service available too, and from personal experience and that of trusted friends in the modelling world is very good. Orders placed as late as 3pm are often dispatched same day. Not only that the delivery service of choice is RM24. Consequently, this means orders have many times been received less than 24 hours after placing them
